Sumiyyah Rasheed, author of No Money Startup: How to Build an Apparel Manufacturing Company, is a powerhouse in the fashion industry. As owner of the Atlanta-based apparel manufacturing company SWH Apparel, a family-owned business she manages alongside her sons, Rasheed has been crafting high-quality private-label apparel since 1992.

In 2013, she stepped into the spotlight, debuting her Ann Nahari collection at New York Fashion Week, a brand designed exclusively for the curvy woman. Proudly Made in the USA, Ann Nahari blends luxurious fabrics, impeccable fit, and timeless style—earning international recognition with showings in Dubai and Istanbul. Expanding her creative reach, Rasheed introduced AlexisSIntimates, a brand that redefines plus-size fashion with designer activewear and sultry lingerie.

Beyond her impact in fashion, Rasheed is a highly sought-after business consultant. As the founder of Crescent Consulting Group, Inc., she leverages her expertise in Information Technology (IT) to streamline operations for Fortune 500 clients in the apparel and footwear manufacturing industries. Her firm specializes in integrating complex software solutions that enhance workflow efficiency, ensuring businesses operate at peak performance.

Jennene Biggins, Marketing Director

As a seasoned AI Certified Consultant and Trainer, coupled with extensive experience as a Digital Marketing Strategist, Jennene Biggins stands at the forefront of digital innovation in business. With over 22 years of hands-on experience in the field, Jennene Biggins has empowered numerous businesses to harness the power of AI, driving efficiency, innovation, and growth. Her expertise spans developing and implementing cutting-edge digital marketing strategies, AI integration solutions, and training programs designed to bridge the gap between technology and business needs. Jennene's passion for digital transformation and commitment to fostering digital literacy has made her a sought-after consultant and speaker, dedicated to guiding businesses through the complexities of digital adoption and leveraging technology for sustainable success.  

Jennene founded her first online business – The Voluptuous Woman Company in 1997 and has since created the Plus Size Events App and the Plus Size Virtual Summit which premiered in March 2018.  Jennene’s online success provided the platform to create her digital marketing agency, formerly J Biggins Consulting. Danso Digital Media Group’s clientele includes hospitality companies, non-profit organizations, entertainment companies and numerous small businesses.  Notable achievements include her participation in the Department of Commerce's 2005 Plus Size Industry Trade Mission to London and Germany. Her websites in women's apparel specialty laid the foundation for Danso Digital Media Group.



 

Javier Carrion, IT Guru

With over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, Javier [Last Name] is a seasoned Infrastructure Systems Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, and Application Engineer with a deep understanding of middleware applications, process optimization, and risk management strategies tailored to stakeholder needs.

As the lead for the team’s LECTRA infrastructure projects and network systems, Javier plays a critical role in deploying, configuring, and maintaining essential software solutions. He serves as the primary point of contact for LECTRA, managing software issues, bug fixes, and system upgrades to ensure seamless operations.

His expertise extends to enhancing system automation, including upgrading NAS storage systems for seamless communication between the Cutting Room Table and Design Room software. Additionally, he optimizes batch job management, ensuring efficient spread and cut automation from the design process to production.

His ability to bridge the gap between technology and operational efficiency makes him an invaluable asset to any team.

    With expertise in precision fabric cutting and machine operation, Xavier plays a critical role in producing high-quality boat covers, bags, awnings, truck tarps, and custom fabric products. Utilizing a variety of materials, he ensures every piece meets the highest standards of durability and craftsmanship.

As a skilled Lectra Vector Cutting Machine Operator, he is responsible for setup, operation, and monitoring to detect malfunctions or accuracy issues, ensuring seamless production. His hands-on approach includes performing minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines and dies, to maintain peak performance.

Leveraging engineering practices, CAD software, and Lectra Vector Software, [Name] develops precise designs that optimize material use and enhance product quality. He carefully reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine material requirements, stock availability, and order priorities.
